In the spring of 2019 Sähkö-Polar Oy decided to test new MEK 70 S lighting suspension rails that were not yet in production back then. For us it was important to receive feedback from the first installations of the product and about its general usability before initiating full scale production. Luckily, the first test location was found nearby our factory in Oulu, Toppila.

The first S installers are Tomi Pulkkinen and Jukka Rautio who are responsible for the electricity construction of the parking hall in Toppila between April and May in 2019.

“In April we came to the construction site and there were MEK S lighting suspension rails already waiting us” tells electrician specialist Rautio. “The new lighting rail is light and easy to handle, and it can be installed to a support from a single point because the rail is thin enough.” tells Jukka Rautio about the usability. Also, it is easy to cut the new rails and cutting sections stay clean and fray-free after using a grinder.

The MEK S lighting support rail that was designed for the corrosion classification C2 has a dovetail profile which is a typical element for our MEK products. This specific type of profile enables better loading capabilities and easy usability. Main options of the MEK S are 3 and 6 metres in lengths and pre-galvanized (PG) and painted white (M) in surface treatments. The new rail is compatible with all of our MEK equipment and accessories. This new cost efficient housing building optimized lighting suspension track MEK S has been part of our selection since August 2019.
