Fire safety and fire resistance are vital part of modern responsible electrical designing and installation. Meka Pro has tested and continues to test its products and cable management systems´ fire resistance with the cables installed and connected according to the temperature curve in the EN 1363-1 standard. Meka Pro’s manufacturer assurance is based on tests that are carried out, not just on simulation or calculation results.

In all fire-resistant cable management system installations, the manufacturer’s installation instructions must be obeyed and they must always comply with valid international standards and norms. Fire-resistant cable management systems shall be installed only by qualified persons familiar with standard electrical construction practices, electrical equipment and safety of electrical wiring systems to ensure safe and proper installations according to applicable standards, local laws, rules, and regulations. All fastenings of fire-resistant cable management system installations must be carried out with corresponding fire-rated fastening accessories.

Tested and Verified Fire Safety

Meka Pro regularly tests the fire resistance of its products to ensure high-quality and safe cable management systems. The products are tested extensively and using several different installation methods in independent testing laboratories.

Meka Pro cable management systems are always tested together with the cables connected to the circuit at a temperature in accordance with standard EN 1363-1.

Meka Pro conducts all of its fire tests (with regard to the temperature and test methodology) according to the requirements of the following standards:

DIN 4102-12
GOST-R 30247.1

Products are tested extensively and used several different installation methods in independent testing laboratories.

Fire rating classification

The E90 (or E60) class signifies that the specific product has been in a fire test where the electric circuit has been functional for a minimum of 90 (or 60) minutes in the non-collapsed system.
