Manufacturer’s Declarations and Certifications
Meka Pro’s products are supported by robust manufacturer’s declarations and certifications, which are critical for ensuring the quality and safety of our cable management systems. These certifications include:
CE Marking: Following Meka® and unipro® products bear the CE mark: cable ladders (KS), cable trays (KR), lighting suspension rails (MEK), wire mesh trays (WMT), and INSTAL® trunking systems, Instal® socket poles and Unipro® lighting track systems. This certification indicates that our products meet the stringent requirements set out in the relevant EU directives, particularly the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU), ensuring high levels of safety and environmental protection.
Our products are now supported by separate national certifications:
FI Mark (Finland, SGS Fimko), which confirms compliance with Finnish and relevant European safety standards.
S Mark / SEMKO (Sweden, Intertek): Demonstrates that the products meet Swedish and European safety and performance requirements.
DEMKO (Denmark, UL): Certifies compliance with Danish and European electrical safety regulations.
These certificates collectively demonstrate that Meka Pro’s trunking systems are independently verified for safety and performance in key Nordic markets.
Standards Compliance
Meka Pro’s dedication to quality is demonstrated through our compliance with numerous internationally recognized standards. These standards guide the design, manufacturing, and testing processes of our products, ensuring they meet the highest levels of performance and safety: IEC 61537: Meka Pro’s cable management systems, including cable ladders, trays, and lighting suspension rails, are designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with the IEC 61537 standard. This standard defines the requirements for mechanical strength and electrical conductivity. Our in-house testing facilities, certified by Kiwa Inspecta, ensure that our products meet these stringent requirements. By adhering to IEC 61537, we guarantee that our products’ test results are accurate, repeatable, and comparable to those of other products tested under the same conditions. This consistency allows our customers to select the safest and most cost-effective solutions, optimizing their cable management systems according to their specific needs.
EN 50085-1 and EN 50085-2-1: These standards govern the structural requirements and testing processes for cable trunking systems, which include our INSTAL® series. Compliance with these standards ensures that our products meet the necessary criteria for safe and effective cable management.
EN 60570 and EN 60598-1: For lighting suspension rails and track systems, Meka Pro complies with EN 60570 and EN 60598-1, which set out the requirements for the safe design and testing of luminaires and electrical supply track systems. These standards ensure the reliability and safety of our lighting products in various applications.
Fire Resistance Testing: Fire safety is paramount in Meka Pro’s product design. We conduct comprehensive fire resistance testing for our cable management systems. Tests are performed with cables installed and connected according to the temperature curve defined in ISO 834-1, EN 1363-1, and DIN 4102-12, ensuring reliable performance under fire conditions.

Meka Pro’s products comply with several key European directives that are essential for ensuring the safety, environmental protection, and marketability of electrical and electronic equipment:
2014/35/EU (Low Voltage Directive): This directive ensures that electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits is safe. Compliance with this directive is a key requirement for CE marking and is central to our product safety guarantees.
93/68/EEC (CE Marking Directive): This directive governs the procedures for evaluating and marking products to signify that they meet the necessary EEA safety, health, and environmental protection standards.
2011/65/EU (RoHS Directive): Meka Pro products comply with the RoHS Directive, which restricts the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, ensuring that our products are safe and environmentally friendly.
2006/1907/EY (REACH Regulation): Although Meka Pro Oy does not manufacture, import, or distribute chemicals, we adhere to the REACH Regulation to demonstrate our commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
