Solar power system of wastewater treatment plant, Joensuu

A solar power plant was installed at Joensuun Vesi’s Kuhasalo wastewater treatment plant using MekaSolar’s solar panel ground mounting systems. The project was carried out in collaboration with Antti Väänänen, an electrical designer from Ramboll Finland Oy, who was responsible for ensuring the system’s precise design and compliance with requirements. The electrical design was expertly completed by Jari Lehikoinen from Sähkö-Saarelainen Oy.

Miikka Räsänen and Eppu Rissanen worked as installers.
The installation of the MekaSolar ground mounting system and solar panels went smoothly.

The contractor was responsible for the electrical installations of the solar panel system, and the installation process was completed within a month. Six Meka Pro ground mounting systems were installed at the site, secured to the asphalt surface with Solar Foot mounts on concrete foundations. A total of 216 solar panels were installed, and the system has a peak power output of 125 kWp. The site also has the potential to expand its solar energy production in the future.
