Surface Treatment Solutions

MEKA® Surface Treatments brochure is out

Determining the atmospheric corrosion category of the installation site helps in selecting the correct materials and surface treatments for the cable management system. A carefully designed and selected cable management system ensures safe and long-lasting cable support in all environments. Standard EN ISO 12944 classifies atmospheric corrosion categories into six classes based on the corrosion rate of steel and zinc: C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, and CX. For example, in category C2 according to EN ISO 12944, zinc corrodes at a rate of 0.1–0.7 μm per year, while in category C4, zinc corrosion is 2.1–4.2 μm per year. Meka Pro offers suitable materials or coatings for all atmospheric categories defined in standard EN ISO 12944.
