Meka Pro is expanding its production

In Finland clear growth in Industrial investments has been seen for a while now. Meka Pro Ltd has been investing on the production capacity, also during the quieter years in the economy. Investments are still ongoing and one of the most recent investments has been welding line for the wire mesh tray in the Oulu factory.

“Demand in the markets for this new product family has been so huge, that we needed to expand the capacity for its manufacturing”, explains Mr. Ari Alanen, Production Director for Meka Pro Ltd. “Our high-quality wire mesh trays offer extremely competitive and effective solution for making light installations. For designing we have for example utilized the professional knowledge of our partners’ technicians. “

The automation at the new welding line is high, almost 90%. Also automating the last manual steps is under consideration. “High automation level is never the main purpose, but in this case it ensures quality homogenous production. Additionally, we have purposefully developed the automation for product testing.”, tells Ari Alanen.

Other new investments in the Oulu factory are also ongoing or will begin during year 2016, these include also some repairmen investments.
